Rustic Rock? What is this cross?

So sad that most chicken owners are trading their heritage breeds for hybrids. My flock is mostly heritage breeds. (australorps, mixed chickens, marans, RIRs, Dominiques, and more. Lets keep these heritage breeds alive!

I recently purchased a few pullets that were labeled Rustic Rocks. They are small black chicks with a yellow dot on top of their head. I cant seem to find any information about this breed or cross on google. I was thinking maybe Maran and Barred Rock cross. Does anyone know what cross this consists of?

According to their site or my understanding is they are Plymouth Rock chickens that were later named bar rock due to the site. Here’s the link as it’s explained-ish. The hatchery.

I have an adult hen for reference- let me go get a picture real quick. She just started laying she’s about 25 weeks old I think.

I also bought some at Tractor Supply. I emailed Hoover hatchery. Here is what I got in reply when I asked for their description
Rustic Rock
old faithful, rare layer
hybrid, not heritage
Adult color, Silver-black with white barring, clean yellow legs
Docile, easy to care for, cold/heat hardy, occasionally broody, confines well
Mature weight 6-7 lbs.
Single comb
Lays 280 Large brown eggs

Did you ever take the pic of your Rustic Rock? I believe that's the kind we got today. I was hoping they would look like or be like the barred rocks.

I think I read somewhere that they were experimenting with a RHODE Island Red over Barred Rock cross. Should be a good cross!
