(S)he's an odd bird...

Pretty girl. Without exact age, it will be hard to tell when she'll start laying. She could be 3 months and might not lay until 6 or 7 months due to her genetics, or she could be 5 months and about to pop an egg out anyday.

Is it possible she was dubbed? Don't know a reason for it, but that would explain the lack of comb and wattles.
Highly doubt it! The guy I got them from does everything extremely naturally. I can't imagine him messing with the hens in any way...

Okay. Looking back at the close up, I can see she actually had a proper comb too. She might just have a small comb

The head says pulled the tail says cockerel. I've had pullets who appeared like this when young. However, once they matured and started laying, after they molted, they developed more female-like plumage.

Where everyone seeing male feathers? The saddles are all round

The darker one is a hen. It's an Easter Egger type and they have very small combs. There are no saddle hackles so it is not a rooster. Color does not identify a rooster. Can't see the other one well but it also looks like an EE hen. These are young birds and it takes them a while to lay. Especially across winter when they don't really lay at all. Give them time and they will be laying. The pointy feathers on the neck alone don't mean anything. My EE's all had pointy neck feathers.

I live in Costa Rica so there is no "winter" but that would be cool if she gives me pretty eggs!

By the way: I'm getting 5 eggs, 4 eggs, 5 eggs, 4 eggs daily. I wonder how many I'll have when all 8 are laying? They are all random/mixed barnyard breeds.
