Not to be a wet blanket, but I sure wish there weren't so many conditions placed on chicken keeping, such as licensing each hen. "Like dog owners, chicken keepers must register and tag their birds, pay licensing fees ($15 for household registration plus $10 per bird per year)." The other restrictions are sensible.
But, FINALLY! Wahoo!

"tag their birds"? How? Do they mean with foot bands or will your birds need to learn to tolerate dog collars? Sounds like the council is planning to make some money off them.
