Yikes. Have you seen any yet?i hope you find him soon.A friend of ours gave us a sweet dispositioned Chinese Brown gander. He was beautiful. Would follow you around chatting up a storm and warn of any dangers concerning the chickens.
Other friends suggested we get him a friend. So off to auction we went to do some trading on chickens and low and behold, a female white Chinese. Leopold found his Kate.
We pulled up and I called for him. He came running from the barn. Always glad to see mom & dad! They finally met each other at the barn. She hissed a little at first but he took it in stride. They walked side by side all day in a dance. We kept a close eye on them until dinner time. Then 15 minutes into dinner hubby decides he better go put them up for the night. Kate is stressing out.....Leopold who only left the barn to come greet us or walk momma back to the house then return to the barn area had been attacked! Kate was running in circles freaked out. Now she lost her new mate, and Leopold who waited for her is gone...no sign of a struggle in sight. Kate refuses to leave the coop.
I’m in an area wide search now!I am so sorry for your loss and Kate’s. But know if you don’t make her secure she’ll be gone too. Best thing to do is get another goose and it can be either sex.
