I know exactly the guilt you are feeling; I'm so sorry that happened to you!

My little bantams love to free range, and for two years I've given in to their wanderlust. I have an electric poultry fence, so no worries from ground predators, but a hawk finally killed one of my favorite hens. No more free ranging.

Thats a sad part of life. Some things are just inevitable, Just remember the good times and know she knows you loved her. Shes kept alive thru your heart and memories. Best wishes and dont get discouraged

I lost my favorite Polish hen and roo to my hubbys boxer. The boxer has since found a really great new home and my hubby said I can get a few more polish this spring.
