You mean okiechick57's birdies right. A snake did get my roo because I saw it, but like I said I don't think a snake had anything to do with okiechick57's one baby.​

Here's my new rooster. He's a year old Dominique. In honor of Sgt Major Bok Bok the new rooster was named Lieutenant Colonel Bok Bok. I put up a fence to block him from my girls since they are just 5 weeks old.

You can kinda see here the new wire mesh fence I put up. Look to the left of the picture. Did I mention I put the new fence up by myself.

This boy needs a feeder. lol

For the time being he'll sleep in this very large dog house with a gate over the opening. DH actually put a roost in it for him. He sleep well in it last night.

He's no Sgt. Major Bok Bok but he is a great beauty and I'm working on taming him a bit.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your dominique roo, is so handsome!! We have 6 weeks old chicks for the first time and half of them are dominiques. We ordered 2 roos in case we lost one, and one turned out to be a barred rock roo, so we have one dominique and one barred rock roo. I hope ours turns out as handsome as yours!!!
