    Just lost the two most coveted chicks I have hatched recently to the gosh-awful heat we've been having. I incubated almost a dozen Sicilian Buttercup eggs and had ONE hatch, and I had ONE Polish Tophat hatch at the same time. I have been so excited and babied them, but today the heat got them. I have been turning off the brooder light in the morning, but with temps in the upper 90s, even the screen porch wasn't shade enough, I guess. Poor little ones. [​IMG] [​IMG]

    I'm so sorry. [​IMG] You are probably right, it was the heat. Its been unbearable this year.
