MysteryChik
Chirping
Well we got the chicks (and the broody hen that came with them) bc we wanted hens (eggs). we were given them by a friend of a friend. Had no clue what kind they were. After posting on here trying to find out what kind they are (so I could see if they were good layers) we are pretty sure they are just mixed breed "game fowl". So from what I have researched on here, they are not good layers.. Hence the reason we bought the plymouths yesterday. We told the man we got them from that we wanted NO PART of any fighting chickens bc we knew his 'friend' was trying to get rid of some. Pretty sure he ignored our request and gave us them anyways. So now I don't know what to do. They arent TOO aggressive yet. But I'm scared to put them in the coop with the new, gentle hens and Rooster. But they don't want in the coop anyways. Use to go in every night like clockwork after free ranging all day. Then started refusing to go in one evening and decided to Roost in the apple tree. We got them down a couple times, and put them an locked them in the coop at night.. Then they got too high in the tree to be able to do that. Then Granny Broody went missing. So we are down to just the chicks.. and well.. they're all over the place. so new at this and have no idea what to do..Any time! Are you wanting girls or boys?![]()
