Saddle Yolk?!

I was candling an egg today and saw something really weird on the yolk, an indent with a weird thing sticking out. I couldn't get a picture because the egg was from a sebright and the it flashed to brightly for my camera so I drew it. I tried my best with the drawing and I only heard a little bit about saddle air sacks, this is also the first time that I have ever incubated eggs. Is my egg still alive or is this like a blood ring, both a show of cellular decay?

This wasn't a shipped egg, I came from my own hen. The egg was placed in the incubator 7 days ago. Also, since yesterday, the egg seemed to have taken normal shape. The strange shape possibly could have formed because I'm using a d.i.y. incubator?

The only advice i can give you is continue incubating. Without pictures its hard to tell whats going on. In another week candle again and mark the air sack. Are you seeing any veins at 7 days?

I guess the temp. wasn't warm enough to incubate till now?
This is a picture that I took from yesterday. You can see the bump a bit but not the weird line.

Diy incubators are tricky. Especally for someone hatching for the first time. Are you able to buy or borrow a name brand incubator? That egg doesnt seem right for 7 days in the bator but it could also be the angle and lighting. My suggestion would be to invest in a good incubator.

Can't get a incubator, though I want one.

Then do your best to keep temp and humidity consistantly accurate and turn at least 3x a day. Thats really all the eggs need but it can be difficult if you dont know what youre doing. Trial and error will get you there
