safe for hens?

Is fern bush (chamaebatiaer millefolium) safe for my girls? Someone wants to give me some plants.
 
I do not know. I have noticed that my chickens do not eat enough of anything toxic to cause illness. Occasional peck to determine if that plant still tastes bad, if you will.
