safe plants

Good to know. It's rather intimidating reading all the 'do' and 'don't' lists. I mean - we sometimes eat apple seeds (not intentionally) and also stone fruit - but that's bad for chickens? I don't get it....so they have been eating their boring chicken feed. Figured that was safe.

Hi tafflass,
My chickens are 5 months old and have free range of about an acre with an apple orchard and the edge of a forest, so they have plenty of choices. They have ignored my crocosmia until this week, when they started flying up to the deck railing to eat the ripe
crocosmia berries. So far, no ill effects. Enjoy your birds!
