Safe stuff to put on chicken wound to prevent lice or pecking

I tried to cut the fibrous wall that contains cheesy whitish yellow pus in my chicken's skin 2 days ago. My chicken peck it today, since there are some lice feeding on the blood on the wound. Do you guys know something that I can safely put in there to prevent him from pecking it, or to prevent the lice from going in there.

I only cut the skin, so there isn't a lot of bleeding.

Sounds like you have two problems. You need to treat the chicken with Seven-dust for the lice and you can use Blue-Kote for the injury. Blue-Kote is blue just like the name says and deters pecking and it's an antibiotic for the injury.
