My chicks are 1 week old today. I am brooding them out in the coop. it's 90 now and no signs of any stress. My guess is it will hit
95-97 in there today. Too hot? It's super easy to bring them inside for the afternoon.

Turn their light off, put in a small fan to help with airflow.

If you've got one to spare - put in a freezer-pack or a frozen bottle of water (I use ziplock bags to minimize the yuck factor later). In a pinch, a zip-lock full of ice cubes helps. After the chicks are done being terrified of it, they'll figure out it feels good and sit next to it, on it, around it. Just remember the camera so we can see pics!

yeah, light is off. I made that "screen door" this am so I could leave the coop door wide open... pretty good air flow. I'll try the ice pack if I have one.

thanks
