Safely marking injured hen

My 12 year old red hen who went down over a week ago and whom I thought was not going to make it is doing amazing. She has a little limo still, but compared to not moving and a totally curled foot and constant noisy panting, she is doing amazing. She desperately wants out of her cage to be with her sisters. I think she is about ready to be able to roam about, and her limp will identify her for now but it is getting better. And I want to make sure I know exactly which one she is. How can I safely mark her to keep track of her?

You can use a zip tie loosely on her leg to mark her. Do keep it fairly loose and check it frequently.
