Hi friends,
Is it safe to eat chicken meat after a dog attack???? Our yellow lab, fully vaccinated etc., decided to help himself to our 5 cornish cross. They were only about 10 weeks old, but we decided to butcher them because we just didn't feel equipped to nurse them back to health. Their injuries were mostly punctures with a fair amount of torn flesh. We butchered them within 2 hours (our first time to do so!!) and it went fairly well.
Now we just don't feel quite comfortable eating them. First out fo concern for safety, second because of the emotional trauma.
ANY advice is greatly appreciated.
