Although I have never tried safflower, alot of BYC members do. Just type it in the search box, there's a few postings about it.

I have , I had gotten a bag of seed by mistake ( thinking it was sunflower) ....they liked it just fine. I guess I am wondering what you want to know?

Mine won't eat it.
They come running when they see we have the big plastic bins out (we use to fill the feeders for wild birds). They will eat the sunflower seeds out of my hand but not one nibble on safflower. It's very pricey compared to sunflower so I'm not going to waste any more effort trying.
