Has any one ever had problems with Salamonela? my neighbors are all afraid of it. can some on explain it to me. why it happens? what it looks like when chickens have it?

I've never had a problem with it and I do eat eggs half raw. Wash your hands and cook your food and you wont get it. As for mechanisms of why and so on I am not too familiar. If birds are stressed, it is possible that it gets into an egg, but I want to say chances are 1:1000 in free range birds and 1:100 in factory farmed birds.

Thanks that is what i told my neighbors is that these are healthy birds not warehouse chickens and that they should just cook their food and wash there hands thanks.
