Sale Barn Ducklings

Good Morning,

I just went to our local sale barn to check out chicken prices/breeds available. Also, we are breaking into larger farm animals and have been keeping track of what’s brought in when. Well, I’m walking through poultry and find these 6 little ducklings in this tiny box and knew I was bringing them home no matter what. They’re currently on their own as being monitored in my home as my chickens are closer to 13/14 weeks.

I’m thinking about 5 days old at the most, but unsure of breed so I know what’s normal for molting/etc.

Any ideas? TIA

These are actually ducklings, but they would be beautiful chickens!

Anconas are a breed of duck as well as chickens.

x2 so are buff orpingtons (chickens & ducks, I believe)

Magpies are much harder to find.
