Saliva running from chick's beak

Hi,

My friend has some chicks. One of his chick died, the symptoms were that saliva was running from his beak, and now the other chick again same symptoms and not very active. Need help, thanks.

I am not sure I could help but I can tell you we need more info....look on the sticky post at the top it tells you what information is helpful like age and thing things like that.
