Sally's GF3 thread

More of the wart rubbed off in the shower today. There are 3 small (<1/8" dia) spots left. I don't know if they're the roots? stems? trunks? stalks?
And one day later, they're gone!
Keep at it.
I did, and I rubbed off what I think is the last bit of wart in the shower today. The skin is soft and smooth.

I'll monitor the area for any regrowth.

This worked!!!! I fear no warts, for I have their doom in my kitchen!

Lol, I'll have to try this method soon, sans the duck tape as the mole is behind my left ear in my hairline

This is to remind me to let other people in Michigan know that there is a vet who will see chickens in the greater Grand Rapids area. I have not emailed them or talked with them.

I have no idea what they charge. I talked to a friend who has a cockatiel, and this is the office he goes to. I looked and they did list waterfowl and chickens as some of the animals they treat.

One of my neighbors had a heart attack last December. Things are not going well, and she has heart failure. 6 months left? 12? That's the prognosis right now.

She received crappy care from the very beginning. Really, no other way to describe it. 😢
Well, that's sad. There's really no excuse for receiving crappy medical care in this day and age. Is she elderly?

She's 73. When she went to the ER, presenting with chest pain, nausea, and shortness of breath, she was given a wrist band and told to "go sit over there."

WTH!?!?!?!

It was an hour before she got somewhere to get any sort of care. She had a complete blockage in one coronary artery. She was in the hospital for 11 days, and when she went home, there were NO follow up calls, and she didn't know how she was supposed to feel. Is it normal to have shortness of breath, body wracking coughs, inability to keep food down, and to be so weak? (no)

Even her doctors admitted that "she fell through the cracks." Several times, as she's been back to the hospital three times.

No excuse. Shame on them.

My dad was a veteran, got his medical needs through the VA. Our local VA stinks. I had to write to our congressman for assistance, the VA refused to accept him, schedule him an appointment. They told him to go to the main NC VA, 2 hour drive from home. When he complained of shortness of breath (he'd had a heart attack 3 years before) he was told to go to the ER (this was during Covid). Turned out he had lung cancer, but they refused to refer him to the local cancer center, and diddled getting him in for a consultation until there were no treatment options.

Everyone needs an advocate when they go to the hospital or even a clinic, someone to stand up and fight.
