Sally's GF3 thread

Good news! Neighbor is home! The hip replacement went well, and he is able to walk -- a bit -- with it already. We've offered to get groceries, ferry him/her to appointments. Right now they have her sister and one of the kids there, but they will have to do their own lives too. We'll step into that space when they need us.

Y'all are good folk.

We went to the Holland Celtic Festival yesterday. Two favorite bands, Ironwood and Crossbow, were playing. They did not disappoint.

The heavy weather held off or veered off. Spotty showers and a stiff breeze at the end of the night was all we had.

But wow! was it humid! The musicians were melting up on stage. The heat and humidity are hell on the instruments too I'm sure. Intonation was off a little bit at times, but was amazingly good for the conditions. The sound crews did a bang up job, as always.

I really wanted to try one of these, but they aren't gluten free. Sigh.

:goodpost:So true!!

Not only that, some of my childhood goals have lost their attraction.

"When you're an adult, you can have a candy bar for dinner!"

They don't "sit as well" as they did when I was younger. Now a favorite dinner is a big bowl of popcorn. Hot air popped, nothing on it. I'm a popcorn purist.

I love a dinner of a big bowl of freshly cooked Summer squash, some butter and salt added.
