Salmon Faverolle Rooster

I have a Salmon Faverolle who has become very aggressive with me. I’m not sure why. We raised him from a day old with 9 others. 8 hens and 1 other roosters. I gave his brother away when they started to fight. He is two years old and has attacked me on 4 different occasions. Is there any way to get him to not attack?

Up in Wisconsin we have a channel called PBS and on this there are University Discussions once in a while.
One day there was a chicken expert on there. He said there are 3 steps to follow for an aggressive rooster, I haven't had to try any so I'm not sure if they work.
Step 1 - the attackee only must catch the rooster and flip him upside down, carry him by his legs upside down while doing your chores (feeding the chickens, water, treats) so that the ladies see who is boss. Repeat when needed.
Step 2 - If step 1 doesn't work... I thought this was horrible but I don't know... do the same thing as step 1 but dunk the rooster into some water. (I really think this is horrible but I also think hitting the rooster is horrible, I probably would just jump to Step 3 instead of Step 2)
Step 3 - If step 1 & 2 don't work - Dinner

Yikes, not much of an "expert".

He's only attacked 4 times? What were you doing at the time? How does he usually react to your presence? Are there any young people involved with the chickens?

Once while checking the nesting boxes. Once as I was walking away after letting them out to free range. Once at dusk when I was waiting to close the door for the night.
Once after putting feed into the feeder. He usually calls the hens to him. I like to sit outside an hand feed them lettuce, apples, sunflower seeds, etc... I think he is jealous. We have no young people except my 15 year old son.

I’m spending more time with the flock. I sit on a low stool and hand feed them during their free range time. The Duke (my rooster) seems a little jealous. He tries to spur me if I hold one of the hens. I have my boots on and never let him out of my sight. Now I’m thinking of de spurring him. Any thoughts.
