Salmon Faverolle Sexing. Please tell me I don't have 7 cockerel's

Hatchery faverolles can not be sexed accurately by the black on their wings https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/salmon-faverolle-chicks-boys-or-girls.649869/post-15145916

Thanks yeah actually these are not hatchery stock but from a local breeder I believe they are more show quality.

It’s possible you have more cockerels, then. But, even better quality salmon pullets will still have some black in their wings, so I would wait until they get in their chest feathers before you try to sex them.

Thanks yeah I will keep an eye on them. Well that is pretty easy since they are in my office at the moment LOL

Here are some pics of the SF male chick we purchased. By 3 weeks, the black chest feathers were starting, and the comb was coloring up nicely. Purchased from Murray McMurray as a sexed male.

SF Females around 3-4 weeks old:

Meyer hatchery stock 2018 (both pics of single chick). Note light chest feathers. Comb is showing, and pink. This one was a darker SF - but no black!

SF females from Sandhill Preservation 2019. Even lighter chest coloration. Note comb on the one is not hardly showing at all.

Hope these help with identifying your chicks.

Thanks that definitely helps. I will keep and eye on them throughout the next week to see how it goes. I am hoping for 6 hens and one rooster but then most of us are lol. I will say that these are definitely some spirited young chicks. Lots of energy.
