I have a pair of SF's that are breed standard. I ordered some hatching eggs from someone in TX that were supposed to be from SQ stock (and I know you don't always get the same quality in the hatchlings) but the chicks (I only ended up with 2) have green eyes instead of the red bay that they are supposed to have. My question is, how big of a deal is this? I don't know enough about eye color in genetics to know if I breed the females with the green eyes with my red eyed male, will the chicks have red eyes like they are supposed to have? Or are these chicks useless to the SF breeding program I am trying for? They have pretty good spacing on their toes, and they do have a few black wing feathers, but my good female lost the last of her black when she hit a year old, so I'm not as worried about that...
Thanks in advance!!!
