With that black breast coming in, you are correct. You've got a little cockerel.

I think it's definitely a cockerel. My salmon faverolle pullets were never that dark.

Hello! We are so excited to be joining the world of backyard chicken keeping!! The chick I’m most excited about is our salmon faverolle. But… I’m getting a little concerned it’s a cockerel. Thoughts? It came from a farm supply store, so I assume a big hatchery; hoping it’s just an off color pullet. It’s between 2 and 3 weeks old.

I have an 8-week old salmon faverolle outside in the run. I just looked back at old pictures and her wing feathers were mostly an orange-brown, not that dark. Keep us updated, I would be curious to know what it is.
