Hi everyone! I have a question about one of my Salmon youngsters. I got my two from a breeder when they were two weeks old. They were identical in every way at that age. They were supposed to be pullets. One most definitely is.... the other has developed alot of smoky gray feathering, a more advanced comb and beard/muff. Now I have other roos of similar age but different breeds, that have already begun crowing. The bird in question has not. I spoke with the breeder ( who has offered to replace the bird regardless ) and he said there was a very small possibility that a chocolate Orpington hen was crossed with a Salmon Roo, but he thought he got them all separated in time.... so... have a peek and give me your opinions..... do I have a Salmon roo or a pullet that is potentially a cross? Thank you in advance for your opinions!
