1. Enjoy life
2. Quit worrying- if you truly knew what everything could give you, you would starve.
3. Chickens are a wonderful way to relax and enjoy life. They ask for food, water, and love only. They give you free entertainment, eggs and babies.
4. Wash your hands after you handle your babies. It is that simple.

If, IF you got salmonella.... It's only a couple day of puking and constant bathroom use.....

I got it....WATCH OUT...I'm just kidding, it's really not that bad.

The secret is hand washing. After handling chicks, chicknes, ducks, geese, turkeys, dogs, cats or whatever, thoroughly wash your hands afterward. That is the key. never eat and handle birds at the same time.

I repeat what everyone else has - wash after you handle them.......that is all. I have kissed all of my baby chicks and never gotten sick! Don't let babies and small children handle them because they put everything in their mouths. Good Luck and Be Happy!
