Jul 17, 2021 #1 C catman2u In the Brooder Aug 10, 2020 3 3 29 I had an eastern box turtle in a 5x5’ enclosure. The substrate was some dirt but mostly COIR. The turtle is now at a museum. I wanted to take the remaining substrate and mix it into my compost pile will I risk giving my flock salmonella?
