salmonella vacination

I need opinions please, I have 5 ex battery hens, should I vaccinate against salmonella? I have spoke to a lot of vets by me and they don't deal with chickens, they have told me to find a farm vet, im in the UK so what do people think?

IMO most battery hens have been vaccinated for a variety of diseases that backyard flocks are not because of their intense stocking density.

I don't know about there but here good avian vets are few and far between. Any of those with poultry experience are rare as hens teeth.
