salt?

I'm not sure what salt does for bad behavior. I wouldn't be able to wait three weeks to see what the outcome was. My question is do they ever free range? Close quarters and hot boring days will make them more agitated and aggressive. If not, then can you let them out once a day for a least an hour or longer if you can.
Another thought is, check to make sure there isn't a nightly visiting rodent in there with them or? Have you actually seen their plucking behave?

Sorry you didn't see my other posts, yes they free range or pasture feed all day.
It's understood that they pick feathers to make up for a lack of protein in their diet. Just as chickens eat certain grasses for the nutritional value. The salt I don't know about perhaps it the iodized salt that adds the nutrients they may be lacking?
