I'm sure the food was intended to provide to the folks that couldn't afford to buy their own. Hope you made a nice donation to the Army in exchange for taking the food?

Most everything you see "outside" @ a "Sally Store" is either going bad, wilted, etc. They have a regular monthly program for food giveaways where the public applies for help. I occasionally DONATE my girls eggs to the store also. I don't feel bad "recycling" this so called give away food. When it's placed out doors, on the ground, it's normally NOT for human consumption anyway. Waste not, want not!!
