Ha! I was telling Jill that a couple weeks ago. "Focus" is this year's chicken goal. Black bresse, olandsk dwarf, and my pacific valley hen project.

Giant cochin
Swedes
Salmon favs
Silver penciled rocks
the polish (not loving my roo at the moment...hence the possible sale of him & wifey. Have some chicks growing out now and more coming... fresh start!)
Lav ams
The brabanters (think I have a pair!)
Turkeys..

Ummm I just have to build a FEW more coops Lol. I will need to pray for strength.. to keep it under control

The GEESE will need a pond

loves them and wants more heeeheee

This is my starting point. I have lots of thinking and shuffling to do. Not sure I'm ready to eliminate any one breed, just lower my overall numbers for now. But by the end of this year I'd like to have just a few dedicated pens like I do for the silver penciled rocks now.

Its going to be hard.

I am also paring down (sort of), and completely jettisoned one breed before welcoming in something else: Cayuga ducks! I'm in love. They are the cutest little things...

I used to have Cayugas! Love them. The hens are so quiet and they are so friendly, sweet! Wonderful ducks!
