San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

Sorry about all the gratuituous Serama pics, but I'm still blown away by this little chicken from Cara... I think everyone here needs one.

Here is Jessica (dd) and Hedwig, my Serama, "chill-axing" in front of the TV tonight, watching some Scooby Doo on the kids channel.

Yep, that there's a chicken.... LOL.

Hey look at the little one, I am sooo glad that she is sooo happy and fitting in. I was trying to talk a friend out of a parrot the other day and i to a house serma, but she could not get past the thought of a pet chicken and got a parrot which is driving her up the wall screaming. I have two hook bills the crow and make egg laying noises but arent terribly noisy. SUNNY CALIFORNIA if you are ever seriously in need of a house chicken for your man i have several chicks that i showed your post to and this is what they are doing at the pen doors

I am also going ot the meet up in norco, with three sermas that i know of for show and tell. i will be bringing your chicks mom, you have not seen her yet, She is a very special hen. She thinks I am her CHICK,

SunnyCalifornia: That is just so cute!!! Does the chickie know that IT IS a chicken??? Humanized adorable!!!

Igotchickens: Congratulations on your first hatch with my former incubator. I knew that it works great (too good as my husband always said.....), but I do not think that I ever had that many babies in there. How many did you hatch the first time? You have some really nice close up photos. So cute these babies.

Cara-I can't wait to meet her mama! I can see where she got her personality from, for sure! I might be ready for another chick in a few weeks, once I get all my current babies settled in. They are keeping me hopping right now!

I miss my cockatoo. He was a special guy. I don't miss the screaming though. Seramas are so much quieter.

IGotChickens- Adorable Quail babies!! Great job on the hatch!!
