Hi I'm new here. Shown and bred my whole life up until 4 years ago I had to move to the city. Well I'm back on my acre and ready to start up again:celebrate. One problem:he! Where do I wanna start?! Ofcourse back to bantams:thumbsup! Been outta the loop for so long lost touch with all my "peeps" and can't find quality stock to start with! Open to any bantam breed, had Moderns,O.E.,Cochins,Seabrights and rosecomb blacks. Would love to have any one of those breeds,or delve into a new breed?! Im not technically in San Diego,I'm south in Temecula area. Would love any input!
Thankx for listening:woot

chef glenn: Coffee, Yeah. I am running VERY low on your good beans and will definetely order some more. PM me on what kind of beans you are planning to roast. Thank You.

I'm a coffee holic too... I didn't stay late enough last meetup to meet chef Glenn. I spent a couple years of my 20's as a "barista" which wasn't a term back then... but I sure miss my peaberries.... any of those Chef Glen??

Only one Serama House Chicken?! As some others here will tell you,
Serama are not meant to be alone. You need at LEAST 1/2 dz!

I do have PB beans (That also happens to be the name of one of my first chickens, I am nursing her
after a bum foot/leg problem. (Peaberry) of course I also have chickens named Bali Blue,
Kona, Java, Espresso, etc. I have some Kenya Gethumbwini Peaberry which I am fond of
as well as some other Single Origin PB's.
I will definitely bring several different varieties to meet up.

I will PM with particulars, don't want to abuse Forum.

Glenn

Hi Melinda!
You want different? I have a pair of Naked Neck Turkens if you're ever interested in them. I'd love to let them hatch out some chicks!! You can find some extremely sweet bantam Cochins and Mille Fleurs D'Uccles from our own wwmicasa1, her website is: http://www.localharvest.org/listing.jsp?id=11467 . Several of us have bought birds from her and they are so gentle. My pair of D'Uccles have so much personality. There's the meet up on the 30th in Norco where you'd be able to pick up some birds or at least get a good look at what people have. Information on this site: http://www.sandiegochickens.webs.com/ Lots of Silkie and Serama lovers on this thread too so I'm sure you'd have no problem finding those breeds.

Welcome back to chickenville. I'm a newbie, only a year with my flock. I'm up in Julian. If you're ever up this way give me a holler.

Very cool! Now I'm struggling to remember all my coffee names!! We used to have coffee competitions, to see who could name the bean on a blind taste test... I remember either winning or I tied.. but that was a long time ago....almost 20 years!
Lets see, there was Jamaican Blue Mountain (very $$$), Costa Rican tarrazu, Tanzanian Peaberry, Sumatra Mandheling, Celebes, Ethiopian Harar, Columbian Supremo, Kona, Kenya AA. I will have to make sure I don't miss you this time!

So are we planning the 23rd? before the Norco meet? or is everyone going to Norco?
