San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

I think we should do a small meet-up here on the 23rd, for those that can't make it to the Norco one... and to get the Modesto order out to everyone. I'm fine with doing Lake Murray again... Starts at 11 am... work for everyone?

Has everyone put in their orders? Please let me know if you want to add any more, we have room for another 30 bags.

Very good Sunny Californian!

I am sure you will be pleased with variety I bring. Please don't say you want
dark roast...eh eh..(Charbucks style!), The vast majority of friends and family who share my
roasts have come over to the lighter side. I am trying to tie this to chickens but I don't dare
on this forum. My chickens have names! 'Nuff said...

Ahhhh! I missed part of my order!

Can you please add three bags of scratch to mine? I am scraping the barrel right now as it is... I wish we could have a meet-up this weekend!

Oh once I get it to my house, you will, of course, be able to come get it earlier than the meet-up if you like.

Hi,

Regarding the feed orders:

How long would a bag of organic feed last if unopened? We just got a new bag, and with only 5 chickens, it lasts us a while. Do you guys order from this place regularly? Maybe I should wait until next time. I'd like to come to the meet-up at Lake Murray though.

Cheers.

Craftychicken,

I keep mine in lockable plastic bins that I got at K-Mart - they work really well for storing food! I can't leave things in bags, as we do have mice who will eat right through them. As long as you keep the feed dry, it should last quite some time.

Cari - I will probably come down and get feed whenever you receive it! Maybe I can be a little more helpful with unloading this time...
