San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

hey you may be on to something.get your cheese and jolt at the same time.
tahahah this is such a funny thought and crazy enough it just may work.
i have so much milk here that if it sucks who cares.

the whole night i was worried about my milk dethawing but since the freezer was so full it all stayed safe.

hope you all had a safe evening too.
we went outsde and ate sandwiches and as evening came turned on hubbys big work flashlight and make shadows on the side of the house until bed time.
we had so much fun dancing in front of the flashlight.sure the neighbors thought us nuts with how much noise the kids were making.
giggles and squeels of delight.

That sounds yummy! One of my favorite soaps is from Harley Farms Goat Dairy in northern cal. Lemon-scented. I've actually only ever had one bar because it's so expensive. It would be awesome if I could make my own.

Hi There Renee,

Coffee Soap? Hmmm...I have heard tell of such a wondrous bar! Coffee Soap for Coffee Beans!
I just wonder how Coffee Goat Cheese would be?
Wonderful I bet, with a nice double strength Kenya Nyeri!

Oh, forgot to mention that GoodLuckCharlie! (Laura) said that they sell Modesto products at a feed store in Escondido.

Unless you go to the feed store it will be EXTREMELY expensive. It is $108 for shipping, no matter if you get ONE bag or FIFTY. That's why it's best to do it in a big group.

I don't think we have enough people together yet to do another one, what do you guys think?

I could do a mini-group run up to Escondido if needed. Just to be curious, does anybody else need anything?

Me: 5 bags alfalfa pellets
5 bags soy-free layer pellets

Emily: 2-3 bags layer pellets

Renee: 1 scratch
1 goat yum yum
2 layer pellets

That's 16-17... anybody else running low? What's the magic number, Cari? 50?

Yep 50's the magic number... if ya'll need it right away though please feel free to get it up there. I don't think we're quite ready for the next order yet.

Hi Cari
big_smile.png
I would be in for a group buy of Modesto

if it turns out there's enough people for it.

As far as I know, Escondido Feed & Supply only has:
50 lb. organic layer crumble/$29.99
50 lb. organic scratch/$26.99
25 lb. organic layer crumble/17.99
25 lb. organic scratch/16.99 I think

I'll go to the Norco meet though-I think I can't get there until at least 1pm. Is that too late? l
And, dumb mealworms, I didn't fare so well with those
he.gif
So I'll be buying them at the meet too.
I thought at one time there was a list going of things being brought or wanted to trade for the meet-
is that this site or did I see that in another state?

I was thinking of bringing my Black and Mottled Javas to see what you all think of them.
