Good luck witht the Turkey's. As you know it was my first time this year too and they were a blast. I will have to do it again next year.

I hope you find what you are looking for. Since I had to have coops and runs built at the new place I know it is not cheap and used is the way to go.

My Guineas are doing great. I finally got a new cover over the whole coop and have the bigger enclosure about 50 percent secure. I am going to bite the bullet and buy some hardware cloth and GET R Done tomorrow if the weather is amenable.

Oh and I have found if I keep the automatic waterer in the one cage I have on the floor they can get in to drink but cant fling crap into it because the cage is on wire.... So I may just build something with a little easier acess to do the same thing. LOL... When I go in the Coop EVERYONE goes and gets into that cage. Too funny because all you see are spots feeet and Shiny eyes glaring at me. Its their safe place.... and I encourage that. It will make it easier for those times when I will be pulling down sixteen feet of Wall that makes one side of the coop. (coop expansion project) The wall wont be destoryed It is on Kennel panel clamps so that I can un bolt it and move it about.... (two garage doors) Its in serous need of reconstruction though the timing is perfect for a redo.

Thats about it.... Oh and when I get those panels moved I will be building space for Chickens..... Yay.

Just to throw it out there. Not sure if you are aware or not. I found it quite by accident. I looked for hardware cloth to enclose the run area and fill in gaps for the coop. I looked at Craigslist and did not find any. Home Depot charges $50.00 for 3x25' and Amazon charges $112.00 for 3x100' and no shipping nor tax.

I used to collect Kennel panels every time I had a few extra bucks. Now I have over three hundred linear feet. Not the best for chicken security but they make great bones for a start.

My turkeys preferred to roost in my greenhouse room over the back door on a water pipe fastened to the wall. I found this out one evening when I heard a THUD switched on a light just to see the Hen dusting her self off and shaking her head. Then she flew straight up at least eleven feet to sit with her husband. It was an oddly safe arrangement. Under a roof surrounded by house with a twelve foot long by six foot open air space for them to come and go.

Not helpful I know but rainy days make me either want to read or write.....

I will check it out thanks Nancy.... Oooh no shipping? definately will check it out.

I am impressed by the way most chicken people are inventive and eager to create new spaces for our birds. I have been collecting kennel fencing also and have found that when I live in a high predator environment I can use the panels for securing the top of the run also. When they were secured well, they worked very well.

#1 SFH: Here's the dark grey one up close. I'm thinking a cockerel & crested ???

#2 SFH: Here's the black one. Has brown on the wing tips. More mellow personality, I'm thinking pullet.
