You know Allison, I have not crossed the line into nakedneckedness, but he is probably the most handsome bare necked rooster I've seen. And yes I voted for him too!

Thanks for your reply. I don't think my chick is gonna make it, but it doesn't seem to want to die yet. It just lays on its side, breathing, but not moving or trying to get up. Maybe its conserving energy, and will bounce back to life tomorrow.... I'm not beyond believing in miracles, but reality isn't looking so good. Losing chicks sux.

I have some Swedish Flower Hens. One cockerel is a beaut! He is predominantly grey, crested and very big. I was really excited about him and using him
in a breeding program. However, he has developed a crooked toe. I have heard that the SFH's have their share of crooked toes due to the small gene pool.
For this reason I won't use him with my SFH's. Unfortunately, I have no place to keep him. I have other cockerels and was planning on putting two to a pen.
I have no place to keep him separate from the SFH's.

Does anyone know of someone looking for a sweet roo that doesn't plan on raising chicks?

I was working at the Cuyamaca College's plant nursery... and I'd like to find something similar... but I can also do sales, customer service and restaurant work.

What about Evergreen With your experience with Aquaculture you'd be great in fountain sales Then there is that Miramar Nursery OH MY GAWD it has to be a hundred acres.

Oh Oh and there is an Evergreen nursery being built right on eight in Blossom Valley. Then there is Wallys World up the road on Old 8 close to the exit for Harbison canyon.

Good luck and apply for unemployment Asap. I am a mechanical Designer/Manufacturing engineer and was laid off last year. Most of the manufacturing where I have experience has been sold off overseas. Thank goodness for you Nurserys are always in demand and local. OH and Hydroponics is a big indoor industry these days.... but you knew that.
