Between all the new foals on my horse lists to the chicks and ducklings here (and let's even throw in some goatlings for good measure), I really love this time of year!
This is a hatching BLRW double yolker. One baby developed and wants to join us!!
I had assumed it would not hatch and then I saw this:
and then this:
This morning it was unzipping but seemed to be a bit stuck in the second yolk.
So pulled off some shell and out popped the head:
It is almost out now and I am letting it do its thing on its own. So exciting!!
Also, I think this maybe our first cream legbar x wheaten ameraucana. It could potentially have had a different father but if so should not have been a blonde chick. We will have to wait to be sure on that.
