San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

Does anybody have a microphone, maybe battery powered that I can borrow for the show? We don't power out there, and I'd like to give our judge, and special guests a nice introduction, but I know I don't talk loud enough for everyone to hear me.

Newbie question - what is a Serama compared to a D'Anver? I have D'Anvers and the picture of the Serama is holding it's wings in the same way. Are they related?

Next meeet-up needs to be on a Sunday so I can go, too.  Please?
There have been lots of meet up on Sundays. It depends mostly on the person setting it up. This one happens to be on Sat. because I wanted to do with the Serama show. I think it would be fun and were sure to learn lots of new things.

The Seramas originated in Malaysia and the d'Anvers in Belgium. Both are true bantams. People breed for a specific "look" so it's not surprising that they would have similar characteristics.

I want plans for the breeder pen it is perfect!!!!

Hi Friends!

I need to announce the following:
I am powerless over chickens and my life is unmanageable.
DO NOT let me bring home any orphans, strays, special needs chickens,
or anything with a beak!

Thank You,
Glenn
I will hovever be bringing to meetup some of my fresh roast coffee for the raffle.
(Some for sale too..)

Cool!  Thank you KKH for answering both my questions.
Not so sure I answered your question about the Seramas and d'Anvers. . . :p Aren't d'Anvers bearded? Seramas aren't. Plenty of differences, but I think
they're both small, friendly little birds and make nice pets from what I hear. I don't have either, too cold where I live.
