You guys are so funny... somebody find my a latte-speckled-magenta egg layer, STAT!

My bad influences are Gail (the chick dealer), Phage (also a chick dealer) and ALLISON, who recommends expensive breeds like Blue Isbars. That said, I just ordered 12 Blue Isbar eggs... good Lord. I have no control! My birthday's coming up, so I'm going to justify it that way.

And Allison, for pete's sake - hatch some of those SFH pullet eggs! Why can't you do a test hatch? You NEED to do a test hatch. You WANT to do a test hatch. TEST HATCH!

My partner in crime .... er chickens (PIC)  is thinking about it, and if she does not want them then will likely sell them to someone who does.

I can't believe it -   my PIC's DH accused me of being a "bad influence" on his wife??  MOI??? can you imagine??

Rapanui's have a variety of colors. And there is someone at BYC that has Rapanui's that sells hatching eggs occasionally. Name of Yashar? I believe that person would know what color eggs they lay. The chickens are really cool looking too. images.

Rapanui is a name for a variety of chickens some of which were the originators of our own Araucanas...

Not necessarily Rapanuis but I have seen a full on Grey and one that was almost red with black speckles and one that was almost a true green but dang I cant find any. Now I am on a search....

'Tis the season to be broody. I've got one Australorp that won't give up despite my kicking her off the nest several times a day and pointed her hiney into the wind.

I'm so tempted to put some Swedish Flower Hen eggs under her, but they're still kinda small pullet eggs. Wish my NN's were laying. So many decisions to be made!!

If you don't want to bother with the pullet eggs .....
