San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

Since the rest of my family is down at Fiesta Island, I'm going to try and sweet talk my parents into watching my three year old so I can come join in the fun! I am seriously wondering about what to bring - would anybody like some pomelos off of our tree? Or lemons? I don't think the tangerines are ready yet, but I'll check. All organic.

My parents have pomegranate trees, but I have no idea of the specific variety.

I do have some beautiful green EE x Speckled Sussex eggs, but (again!) I have no idea if they might be fertile. (The SS roo does an excellent job of trying.)

Hope to see you all at the park!

I'll go pick some right now!

Just lined up my babysitter, and my friend Karen is coming along with me. Can't wait!

Awesome meet-up today! It was so nice to meet so many of you, have a terrific lunch (I'm sorry for choking) and see so many beautiful chickens, ducks, dogs and bunnies... when can we do it again?

PS - My chickens went nuts for the mealworms! I'm sorry I didn't grab your name, but I've got to get more.

Fun, fun, fun today in Ramona!! It was great meeting so many BYC'ers. Great weather out there. I'm still on the lookout for another egg layer chicken. Those little Mille Fluers (spelling??) were absolutely darling. I fell in love but the husband not so much. He was afraid of getting in over out heads. Crazy man, what is life for if not that!?

Thank you to all who shared your Saturday with us!! It was fun and I look forward to doing it again.

I had so much fun today! Learned some, ate well, and got me 2 chickens!! They're doing alright in the garage settling in. Thanks to everyone who brought the food as well as the aloe, lemons, bookmark, coffee, mealworms, and calendars! (And anything else I forgot or missed out on)

It was so nice meeting everyone and their chickens today - good to put a face & real name with a screen name! Thank you Glenn for the coffee beans, perfect timing too, since I ran out this morning. Enzo loves his dog treats Allison & my phone is now proudly sporting a chicken charm. Thank you to whoever brought the aloe and pomelos! And Lynne - Millie & Marsha so far are happy as clams quarantined in our big dog crate. What a fun day!
