Qualcomm is like working on a College campus. Just about every building has a cafeteria and a gymnasium.... Or is next door to one. I worked there from 97 to 2000. In the QWBS business unit. As a Senior Level Mechanical designer. Really forward thiking company.....Qualcomm hires direct as often as they use contract employees. It was one of the first that hired me direct in many years so I thought I had found a home.... sigh.

Unfortunately when they laid me off I lost it.... Couldnt face doing it again .... I was like Vanna, Burned out. I eventually went to work for ARCO for about three years. The change was good for me.

It was such a beautiful day today. The chicks are doing great and the hubby plowed my garden. Lots of work to do outside but taking it a day at a time. This will be my first real vegetable garden. Also planted herbs and flowers. The little homestead is coming together

I think that's more than a garden!! Congrats and all you are accomplishing!! I've been working on my garden, deciding on new chicks and getting ready for new baby goats! It's a great time of year!

Thanks!!! I am really excited to have homegrown veggies and fresh herbs. Before we moved here I had grown only tomatoes in pots :) chose the location to take advantage of water runoff, also we have well water in tanks nearby (that also feeds the animals' waterers) hopefully it will rain or we'll be pumping lots of water. But hey its free so can't complain. We have been on the mountain for one year, completely off grid. Things are starting to click together. It is my therapy in so many ways. Grief is so weird, it just creeps up on you. The sunshine really helps me.
