Cream legbar eggs are also available.
Seriously, try a few!! I am loving how these little things are feathering out!! They are such a pretty gray and soft orange color! They remind me of Robins...AND they also lay blue eggs!! Heh.

I'm pretty sure that it's the ameraucanas that flew out of the brooder box last night and crapped all over my bathroom. The little legbars would never do that!! Last time I had 9 chicks that I kept inside the bathroom until they were OLD and NEVER had one fly out of the box.....now I have a mess to clean up, and a large screen to buy.

I seem to have an unexpected consequence with my chicken gathering and collecting. I have eggs. Like, a lot of eggs. I went from only getting a few a week in November to now getting 8-9 a day

Ive been giving a bunch away, but still, 5 dozen a week is a lot and I know that will increase. What is the deal with selling in CA. I heard yuo can't without a USDA inspection, I heard you can. I remember seeing once at a farmers market dozens of dozens stacked up but signed as not for sale. I read a doc from UCDavis about selling eggs, and it only confused me more.

Does anyone here sell eggs, what's required and whats the risk??

Long time reader, first time poster , and i'm desperate! My beautiful little Naked Neck/Silkie cross crowed this morning and since i live in town, i need to find him a new home ASAP! I'm so bummed. I had my suspicions but was crossing my fingers that my hunch was wrong. No such luck. Free to a loving home!

you can sell them to friends and you can sell them on your property I believe the deal is you need to be under three hundred chickens. But you cannot sell them at a Street fair or farmers market without proper licensing or documentation.

I looked into it but my place isn't set up for clean egg collecting. At this time. Wimsica can tell you more. I believe.

Hi everyone... One of my friends asked me if I knew anyone who might want a Nigerian Dwarf Wether. Apparently he was someone's FFA project, but it didn't work out, so I thought I would ask you all if you are interested or know someone who is interested. The girl wants $70 for him.

Keep your fingers crossed - I loved Jacquette, the chick with the broken but healed leg, Mr Pecker, her companion, and Blue Ivy, a slightly older chick I got from Phage, in with the broody mama in the coop. [Blue Ivy has been doing really well with Jacquette and Mr Pecker, she's calm and pretty submissive]. They snuggled in with the rest of the bunch. The test will come in the morning.

I also moved Cinna the bunny back to the run - she's 10 days post spay and hasn't had any problems that I've seen. She's happily snooping around the run being her busy-body self.

With any luck I can shut down (and clean out!) the "hospital" room tomorrow. It will be so much easier when everyone is out there.
