Acceptance into a 4 year school in California is not so easy at this point in our economy!! Congrats!

Thanks everyone. He has his Associates Degree at Cuyamaca. He will be Majoring in Astronomy and going for a minor in Math. He has to take all the math anyway for Astronomy I think he will only have to take one or two extras to get the Minor.

I had a cousin who got snooty with me for "Allowing" him to choose such a Useless Major. Sheesh. Shes no slouch herself engineering degrees and such. But I told her he can work in any field he wants to after school. Though I think his aim is toward the commercial space effort.

At what age do you put your chicks out?? Mine are 5 1/2 weeks and getting to be a pain to haul in and out every day. I was thinking sometime this week I would leave them out with the light. I have had them in the garage at night with a light, out during the day.

I would say you could leave them in the garage at night without a light at this point. The nights are getting warmer. I would watch the temps over the next week or so. But they should be just about ready to go out.

Hey all,
I have a kind of strange question...

Would anyone here be willing to have a Backyard Chicken (.com or otherwise) table at a community garden event on April 20th? You could bring chickens (or not) and I could provide copies of local ordinances etc for handouts. We are having several other informational tables (solar cooking, seed starting, composting etc) and I would love to have the peeps represented, but won't be able to run it all and man a table.

Thanks in advance!
Elizabeth
