RHR where are you located? I'd be interested to see what you have

poultry wise, that is.

I'm in San Marcos - I'm afraid it's a motley crew at this point. I have the bantam NN's of course, and an assortment of pets/layers. The most interesting LF I have are my barred bearded olive egger project, 3 roos, and 5 hens. I will be bringing a non-bearded barred olive egger roo to the meet up, for those who want barred but not bearded in thier Olive egger project. They lay a really olive green egg. As for the rest, I have a silkied (not mixed with silke) cochin, some game/ee/??? mix wild chickens, welsummers, easter eggers, crevecouer and polish. Speaking of, I am willing to trade chicks or equipment for the following breeds of chicks/started pullets: Ameraucana (white, black or lavender), Mille Fleur or Exchequer leghorns, black, black birchen, barred, mottled or lavender bantam cochin, silkies, and since I need layers, pullet chicks of any standard laying breed like wyndottes, rocks, RIR's, etc., I would also consider. I need young hens to add to my aging flock.

There is some good links in here about that. Its best to ask for Donations in exchange for eggs.
The sellers license would be for selling at farmers market and getting a resale license, but i really don't know. I did look it up and it made me mad so i stopped looking.....

Stinkers - I love the cake batter, tell me not to eat my own raw eggs. But i'm ranting and when you start it dig why the laws are there and who they protect.... Well it isn't you and me or our health.

Whenever I sell eggs, I just ask for a donation, and let them give me what they think they are worth. I usually get $3-5 a dozen.

I'm sorry, I meant poultry supplies wise. The autofeeder/waterers sound like something I need!

Oh my goodness, so cute!

I'm still trying to talk my hubby into it. Norco is pretty far from Spring Valley.
We do still have some silkies from this weekend and the hatched all the way till Sunday, started thursday - some lazy hatchers....




I just put them all in that basket to take a photo of all of them together. Thats not there normal home, but the red heat lamp makes all the chicks look really funny so i try not to take photos under the red light you can't really see anything...

Yea, Norco is SOOO far, and I was hoping to get a car pool together.
Maybe we should just arrange our own meet up SOON . Anyone any ideas??

Also with that new law out today is it actually legal any more to sell chickens/chicks/eggs in a public park???

Yes yes I propose May 18th.... I can offer my very humble rustic property in valley center
or we can do a park in Escondido/RB area....

Please check your calendars and let's plan.... I also can't make it to Norco
