My husband (a type-A engineer) went out and physically counted my chickens last weekend. He did not buy into the popular theory that the babies didn't count as whole chickens...

well according to you all's chicken math i really only have my original 6 lf laying hens , i don't think my silkies count either, they don't reallylook like chickens and no one really eats them so... what do you think.

i have buff barred bantam cochin chicks silkies and sizzles, i am only bringing if someone wants them, i arm going to a graduation party in menifeee after the meetup and can't bring anything back home to national city first. oh and i still have three Sebastopol goslings left

Thanks all-American-chick for the offer my husband brought home 6 chicks to keep her company.

I wanted to tell everyone thanks. I have been "secretly" reading this site for a while and I cannot wait to meet everyone.

Also I want to tell everyone what my husband did for our automatic door opener that works great. He got a used smoke fire damper and cut it into their house. Then he just put it on a timer. All the chicken use it.

WELL dont be such a stranger..... LOL.... and WELCOME... Hey I am really liking the idea of the smoke damper.... I am going to go dig one up online and see how they work. If I finally get my Poultry house done I am going to need at least four.

Really easy to install we just cut a hole in the coop. They throw them away all the time
