San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

ok i have to ask. I told my son that i was taking the babies from momma and he doesn't want me to. NOW I am asking does anyone have one new chick so I can put with her? I don't trust myself going to get another one at the feed store I will come out with more than one.

if someone can bring a baby chick this Saturday I will take it. BUT I CAN ONLY HAVE ONE. Needs to be 1 week Saturday. Let me know. Please don't let me see more than one. I would like to commit to one before Sat. so I don't come home with more than one. Would like a polish. I don't have one of those.

I should have some hatch friday

Cant remember what they are - life is a blur - but you are welcome to ONE.

FOR SALE: Used Foy's Automatic Pop door with timer. $200 firm. **PENDING SALE**

I bought this recently for my third coop, which I've decided not to do. This is what I JUST paid for it, so the price is not negotiable.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll bring it to the meet up. Thought I'd offer it here first. It's a good deal if you're wanting to spoil
yourself! I have them on both of my coops. Never have to worry about rushing home to lock the birds in and of course, get to stay all
snuggly in my bed each morning as the door lets the flock out into the run.

Plan to go to the meetup this Saturday! Will there be a sign so I can find people from BYC?

This is my first BYC meetup and I am really looking forward to seeing backyard chicken lovers!

BTW, I have several 3 months old silver laced wyandotte and 2 days old gambel's quails for sale. Let me know if anybody wants them.

Actually I have 30+ more Gambel's eggs waiting to be put in my bator.

But if I can't sell these chicks I have then I think I will just throw the eggs away :(

Thanks Oz but it is too late. My husband came home with SIX new chicks. I need to call them ahead of time to tell them to watch out for him. I do have to admit the little girl is SO HAPPY running around with her new friends.

So now I have to downsize my flock and I love all of them. All girls and they all get along.

Maybe my neighbors will not be able to count? I am allow 25 chickens and I have 24 plus 7 chicks. 6 are bantams they should really be counted as 3 they are so small.
