San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

I know this is off topic, but does anyone know of a processor in North County?  I'm looking to have some birds done and I just don't have the time or room to do it correctly, myself, anymore.  There is one in Valley Center, but I'm hoping for one closer to Vista and one who will process larger birds for a little less.  ANY HELP would be appreciated.
Check here with All-American-Chick. She may be up to it.

PM me if u want..I have a connection to someone down the road from us...near Hidden Meadows. Our neighbor takes his meat birds there for free in exchange for his help processing his. Not sure how cheap he'd do it for u but it's close to Vista. Looks like I'll be taking my OE there soon :/

OK the discussion about Chicken processing had me looking up to see IF there were actual slaughter houses left in San Diego. Or the county....

Found one in Escondido There is a store in the front and the Slaughter house is in back. Been in business since the great depression:

Dont know what they charge but this gives me hope that I can raise up a four legged critter for the freezer.

I already contacted S Talone's Custom Slaughter earlier this year, they said they do pigs, cows, goats, ect...

But no chickens.

My husband and I have an automatic chicken plucker and will process them for anyone who wants (we bag them and everything). He charges $7 a bird if you bring less than 10 or $5 a bird if you bring 10 or more. Just letting anyone who's interested know.
