San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

Alright fellow chicken people, I need help. My bantam cochin has been broody for **** near 4 months now. We have tried everything to no avail. I am not worried about her not laying as her eggs were teeny anyways. I just worry about her health as she doesn't come out to eat/drink much.

Is my only option to stick fertile eggs/day old chicks under her? And if I do, does anyone want the chicks, cause we are full up. She is being a bad influence as now I have a BO that won't quit brooding either. :(
Bout all you can do is put some falsies under them. Then locate some day olds and put them under them. they should be no older than three days old. I would do at least three chicks a piece. Then they will get off the nests to raise em up. If you get feed store chicks the day they bring them home then you have a guarantee of females should be easy to sell them on Craigslist when they are feathered out.
